Project 2

ACHROUN-AOSMON See the sound, listen to the light

Bridging contemporary music with contemporary photography, ‘Achroun-Aosmon’ is an interdisciplinary project that brings together artists from Cyprus, Romania, Greece and the UK. Based on Athinodorou’s “Aosmon” for Solo Violin to be interpreted by the renowned violinist Alda Dizdari, eight photographers pick up the torch to explore how concepts and sounds inspire them to produce black and white images. The evening begins with a brief pre-concert talk with the artists, led by the musicologist Galina Dimova-Georgieva. The concert that will follow features music by Poulenc, Athinodorou and Penderecki (led by Sorin Alexandry Horlea) and simultaneously opening the photo exhibition with photos by Charalambos Nicolaides, Eleni Onasoglou, Rafael Ianos, Rita Tilkeridou, Thanos Savvidis, Louloudia Gredi, Corneliu Sarion and Simos Charalambous.
